MacFest 2007 - Speaker Roster

Bob LeVitusBob LeVitus, often referred to as “Dr. Mac,” has been considered one of the
world’s leading authorities on the Macintosh and Mac OS for nearly twenty years. A prolific author, LeVitus has sold millions of books worldwide in a dozen languages. His recent titles include: GarageBand For Dummies and Mac OS X Tiger For Dummies. He also pens columns for the Houston Chronicle newspaper and the MacObserver Web site.

In 2004, LeVitus started Doctor Mac Direct LLC, a company that provides expert technical help and training to Mac users via phone, e-mail, and/or Internet-enabled remote control software.

Chris BreenChris Breen has been writing about technology since the latter days of the Reagan Administration for such publications as MacUser, MacWEEK, and Macworld. Currently he pens Macworld magazine’s popular tips and troubleshooting column, Mac 911; mouths off in Playlist’s iPod Blog; and appears in video form in Breen’s Bungalow, an every-so-often video tutorial found on Macworld’s virtual CD.

He’s also the author of Peachpit Press’ best-selling Secrets of the iPod and iTunes, fifth edition and the new The iPod and iTunes Guidebook.

Andy IhnatkoAndy Ihnatko is a Boston-based geek and writer who works for anyone foolish enough to pay him. He’s The Chicago Sun-Times’ technology columnist as well as Macworld Magazine’s back-page opinion guy, and his writings also appear in Playboy, Yahoo! Internet Life, CNN.com, and in the occasional book. Roger Ebert credits him for writing “at least a third” of his “Little Movie Glossary.” He (Andy) would also like to point out that he made his indy film debut last year, owns two goldfish named Click and Drag, builds animatronic toys that can be controlled via telepresence to hassle cats, has one published credit contributing to a single issue of the “Ren & Stimpy” comic.

Lesa Snider KingLesa Snider King is the founder of the free creative tutorial web site, GraphicReporter.com, and chief evangelist for iStockphoto.com, Lesa is on a mission to teach the world to create better graphics. She writes for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, Planetphotoshop.com, Macworld Magazine, and Layers Magazine, plus teaches at many industry conferences.
